The Reelin is a 41' Hatteras Sportfishing Yacht. Hatteras Yachts are designed to handle the blue waters of Outer Banks of North Carolina, the "Grave Yard of the Atlantic". Her solid fiberglass hull is built for the serious fisherman or woman. She was originally built in 1965 in New Bern, North Carolina.
She is updated on a regular basis to provide you with the technology and performance only a few charter boats can provide.
In 2005 she was repowered with new engines. Now powered by twin 370 HP turbo diesels, the Reelin cruises at an honest 18 to 20 knot cruise speed. The Reelin is one of the fastest Charter Boats in the Tri-State Area giving you more fishing time.
She has the best electronics for both fishing and navigating including Raymarine GPS Plotter and Color Fishfinder, Furuno GPS, JRC 6kW Radar and Simrad WP35 autopilot, and more.
The Reelin underwent a major interior refurb in 1990 and her cabin bulkhead was replaced in 2006. Her large, comfortable and clean salon with ample seating, allows our customers to relax in heated comfort. Other amenities include a TV/DVD and a full AM/FM/CD stereo system. At the dockside she is also equipped to receive satellite TV.
She has a full galley including microwave allowing customers to remain nourished on our longer trips. Below she has two state rooms along with a private head with shower facilities.
Away from the dock the she is equipped with a 4KW diesel generator (installed in 2004 and refurbished in 2007) to run all her household power loads.
The Reelin is fully equipped with all the required Coast Guard safety equipment including type-1 PFDs for people of all sizes, 8 man SOLAS "B" life raft and 406 EPIRB.

REELS- Our reels are the best available for saltwater sport fishing- Penn. Recognizable by their shiny, gold surface, they look good and perform even better. Our collection includes 20Ts, 30Ts, 50Ws, 80STs, and 130STs. Inshore we utilize Conventional Penn and Avet 4/0, 6/0 and 9/0’s.
RODS- All our rods are custom made by J&B Tackle or Captain Kevin with fiberglass blanks and the most durable guides and butts available.
LINE- For line and leaders, we use monofilament, Dacron, fluorocarbon, spider wire, stainless steel, and Monel. All are of the highest quality brand names- Berkeley, Jinkai, Momoi, Seaguar, Malin and more.
TACKLE- All other hooks, lures, and other tackle are also the most trusted names on the market. From Mustad and Gamakatsu hooks to Zuker, Seven Strand, Bob Schneider and Black Bart lures, we use the stuff that works.
